The generous portion sizes make every dish feel like a satisfying feast; diners often leave pleasantly stuffed. The Chicken Katsu Curry Don is a highlight, with many claiming it to be both a comforting and filling option. The cozy and intimate atmosphere creates a setting where patrons can unwind and enjoy their meals with friends or family.

Bento’s extensive menu caters to various dietary preferences, including excellent vegan options that even non-vegans rave about. The attentive and friendly service adds to the experience, making diners feel valued and welcomed. Plus, the unique offerings like the green tea mochi leave a lasting impression and give patrons a reason to return.

Most Disliked

While the atmosphere is cozy, the dining experience can sometimes be interrupted by longer wait times, especially during peak hours. Some diners have mentioned that meals arrived at different times, which can be a hassle when dining in groups.

A few comments highlight that the popularity of the place can lead to busy periods, particularly on weekends, which may deter those seeking a quieter dining experience. Despite these minor inconveniences, most reviews indicate that the overall experience outweighs these issues, but it’s something to consider if timing is crucial.

Great little restaurant with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Food was authentic and delicious - they even added extra cheese on my beef rice when requested. Brilliant for evening drinks with friends or a traditional street-food-style meal😁

Had a lovely meal here with friends. It's a cosy place with a nice atmosphere. I ordered a green tea and chicken katsu curry don with extra runny omelette. It was delicious! Big portion, I was absolutely stuffed. I'd definitely come back. The only thing I'd mention is that the time between the first of us getting our meal and the last of us felt like quite a while. Everything came out separately (very hot and fresh), the person who got their meal last had to wait a little bit too long.

Exceptional in every way! We came in late Sunday evening, less than an hour before closing. Still got great and friendly advice around the food and drinks! It felt like you came home to a friendly family for dinner, wholesome and warm! The food came in quickly and everything was tasty and well cooked! Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

A very cosy atmosphere. The food arrives quickly, is portioned heartily, and is excellent. The prices are very reasonable for what you're getting. The service is very friendly and helpful. Order a couple of big dishes and a smattering of street food plates and you won't regret it. Oh, and if you've still got room, the green tea mochi is the best I've ever had. They were happy to box up an unfinished ramen that we wanted to take home with us too. Love this place!

We ordered a Japanese BBQ eels don, a chicken katsu curry rice bowl and a grilled chicken fried rice. They are scrumptious and smell so good. Although they have been catered, they are still quite close to the original Japanese taste. I'm happy with their portion size.

Top notch Japanese street food at great prices! We've been twice now for pre theatre and intend to go properly very soon. It's an authentic Japanese street food bar with an extensive menu, including but not limited to bento, okonomiyaki, ramen and lots of yakitori. There is a choice of sake, and when you order you get to choose your cup.

This is a really cute little place, the service is good and the food is really nice. It’s somewhere I keep coming back to with friends. Lots of vegan options too! Worth booking a table as it can get busy at the weekend.
